Barton Community College’s Center for Adult Education will soon begin another nine-week session of classes. However, orientation days are required before starting the class.
Great Bend Native Payton Doll was anxious about going to college out of high school, but after two years at Barton with his associate degree in hand, he’s now comfortable and enjoying the rest of his college career at Fort Hays State University.
Students interested in auditioning for vocal ensembles, instrumental ensembles, dance ensembles, learning about scholarships opportunities in performing arts for the 2022-2023 season, and visiting with our directors in vocal, instrumental, dance or theatre are encouraged to sign up for one of three “Scholarship Audition Days” on Feb. 12, March 12 or April 2 at auditions.bartonccc.edu.
The Barton Dance Theatre will host the “Superhero” Creative Camp for Kids fundraiser from 2-5 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Fine Arts Auditorium and tickets will be available through shows.bartonccc.edu for $20 per child and $5 for additional siblings.

The Barton Community College Nursing Department wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its Associate Degree nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Barton Community College will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 17. Barton's Center for Adult Education and the Shafer Art Gallery also will be closed. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
